Cleanse your Crystals!

I’m going to keep this as short as possible. Instructions on cleansing your crystals doesn’t need to be an essay or a massive theatrical production each Full Moon. I am a BIG believer in keeping things simple.

Quite often when I am doing House Cleansings, people have a collection of crystals, and more often that not, I can feel those crystals calling out for a cleansing! They are clogged and totally ineffective. If they are that way, then they can’t and aren’t helping you!

Its important to cleanse our crystals and the Full Moon is the perfect time to do this. The belief is that the Full Moon can cleanse a crystals energy and recharge it. Crystals have the ability to hold both positive and negative energies so its very important to cleanse them regularly. Some of the tools I use in my work get “cleansed” regularly so not always on a Full Moon.

Collect all your crystals, working tools, (I even include my day to day jewellery in this) and place them outside. I prefer to lay them straight on to the earth but if this isn’t possible then on some kind of natural surface (wooden board), pot plant (if you live in a building complex). If leaving them outside isn’t possible them place them on a window ledge where the moon can reach them.

I like to give mine a “smudging” (you can use a smudge stick or incence stick), sprinkle some salt and then a little water over them to assist with the cleansing.

If you can, leave them out overnight and gather them in the morning. I personally don’t like to leave mine out in the sunlight for too long.

Remember to say, “Thank You”. Thank the Universe, God/Goddess, Spirit or whoever it is you call to. Its important to express your gratitude…
